Thelma has been continuously dusty since getting to Mongolia and as I set off from Dalanzadgad, things are no different. I am given plenty of dire warnings as I head out including several about the strong winds that have been forecast. After having ridden through the extreme gusts and windy conditions of Patagonia, I feel I am probably up to facing the Asian Wind Devils; however I promise to turn straight back if it gets too tricky.

Ahead of me are 400 miles of desert- but I found my way south OK, so this return leg shouldn't be a problem..or should it?
